Values
Design creates culture. Culture shapes values. Values determine the future.
– Robert L. Peters
Learning by Design
Education is a purposeful pursuit that significantly influences our cultural norms and values. The quality of life we aspire to is directly linked to the education system accessible to us. This is why our courses and materials are rooted in robust research, grounded in sound theories, and backed by proven learning strategies.
Teachers
We value the contribution teachers make as the architects of society.
Justice
We value justice where all life is sacred and should be treated as such.
Living with a Disadvantage
We value those who are poor and disadvantaged in various ways, whether due to poverty, learning difficulties, cultural differences, trauma, or other factors.
Honesty and
integrity
We will remain unwaveringly truthful. We will act with integrity in every circumstance, whether or not we are observed. Our values will not be sacrificed for others.
Equity
Equity forms the foundation of public education and is integral to our strategy for fulfilling our goals. We are committed to our vision of ensuring justice for every stakeholder—children, parents, communities, partners, businesses, donors, and government entities.
Respect and Dignity
We will conduct ourselves day to day with respect for ourselves and others. We will treat others with dignity in all situations. We will open our minds to cultural differences to ensure our actions are interpreted appropriately.
Servant Leadership
Exceptional leadership occurs when individuals express that they achieved it on their own. We support the experts and people doing the work by stepping aside and finding the resources they need to succeed.
Education transforms lives, teachers, students, parents, education leaders, and especially the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our society.
